After logs are dropped at our facility, the manufacturing stages of the process begin. We start by milling each log into slabs or dimensional lumber, which are then stacked to optimize air flow for the drying process.
Milled wood dries at varying rates depending on species, dimensions, and weather conditions, but it can cure at our facility for as long as 3 years before it is ready for finishing.
For outdoor landscaping material, e.g. fencing, posts, decking, and pergolas, you can use redwood and cedar within weeks of milling.
